Painter's Blues
(written by Agatha, on 2nd July 2001) I've been waiting for my painting to dry a big smile of my daddy who's snoring somewhere now i don't believe in heaven stuff no place can be better than our sweet home is a paintbrush mightier than a sword? is a canvas wider than a world? oh wind, come along and blow me away blow my memories away Once you told me that a painter was a weaver who collects light and shadow glory and sorrow now i know what he really dose i bought a silver frame i'm sure you'd like it will the blue soothe you when i'm far away? will the red light up when it's cold and grey? oh wind, come along and blow me away blow my weekness away you were my only hero and will be the one forever daddy, i don't wanna trick myself but every line i draw seems to have the curve of the unreal i have no confidence so give me confidence now that little scrawling girl is a student goes to art collage, hangs out with fun friends but my future is yet to be seen who's gonna be painted, will he be with me? is my paintbrush mightier than a sword? or the blank space brighter than a word? oh wind, come along and blow me away blow me away.
